May Day

The day dawned cold and cloudy today, but last night we had a great time together as a family at the bar at the River Falls Copper Kettle.  At the Greenwood Carnival, I had bid on and won several gift certificates to area businesses and one of the gift certificates was for $20 at the Copper Kettle.

Our little family loaded up and arrived there at about 7:15pm, prime dinner time in River Falls.  While we were waiting for our table for five, we spent time sitting at the bar.  For several months, Brad has been teasing the kids about taking them to the bar and both Anders and Katie think that would be the worst thing in the world to do.  We were sitting there for about five minutes when Brad announced where we were sitting and the kids decided it wasn't the worst place in the world to be.

We ended up being called to the table at about 7:45pm and enjoyed fried cheese curds, corn dog, cheese burger, steak burger, french fries, sirloin, mashed potatoes, french fries, toast and french onion soup.  The kids enjoyed a dessert of oreo cookies.

When we departed the restaurant at 8:45pm, the sky was still slightly "light"--those days are still getting longer!  LOVE IT.

Lunch time at the Olsons...over and out!

Happy May Day

May Day occurs on May 1 and refers to several public holidays.[1] In many countries, May Day is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labour Day, a day of political demonstrations and celebrations organised by communists, anarchists, socialists, and activist groups. May Day is also a traditional holiday in many cultures.
