a great day of the week

I love Friday! I had a dentist appointment this morning, no cavities, then went out to coffee with Brad who just returned from Florida. Worked out at the Falcon Center and went to school at noon. The kids were a little bonkers, but happy it’s Friday and we’ll all get a little break. 

Now we’re ordering pizzas from Carbone’s and will stay in and watch movies…cozy evening.

Normally Brad is home to cook and keep us all going in  the right direction. I’ve had to pick up the slack and make meals and clean up after. I’m pooped! I also decided to get up early today to run so I could relax this evening. Ended up folding three loads of laundry, reviewing students work and making yogurt. 

Katie went shopping for Nerf Wars and Osten has been hanging out and watching YouTube.

With the beautiful days we’ve had, I decided it was time to do some cleaning and bring out some spring and Easter decorations

Another evening out with friends. Tonight celebrating the beautiful Michelle Johnson’s birthday at bingo night at Westwind. No one from our group won, but it was fun to hang out together. 

spring break 2 has ended

 

First sandal day and a pedicure with my bestie Julie! Then we went to Baldwin to a cute store that sells restored items. 

I got some neat things for spring decorating and finishing up the living room downstairs. Anders left for Eau Claire so I finished up and did my evening workout. I had bought a slipcover for the patterned chair and covered the ottoman with a blanket and put a tray on from my shopping today. 

Anders approved…I think it looks great.

So I got a great new pair of running shoes a few weeks ago…could not find them anywhere, so had to buy another identical pair. I hope to find them, but in the meantime, my feet are covered. 

Katie and I walked the Stillwater Bridge on this beautiful early spring day. Lovely. 

so great to have him home

Cherishing time with this amazing man. Home for just a bit longer. 

northern light show

A friend of mine posted that the northern lights were out and my niece also sent a snap…got to see them with Anders and Osten. Not as spectacular as Raymond’s photos, but pretty impressive.

5 K race

 

In my half marathon training, it was time for a 5K race. I went to the Falcon Center and voila! I’m a few days behind so hope to catch up by the weekend when I’m supposed to do 9 miles. 

spring has sprung

Today is the first day of spring. Brad made a lovely dinner of hot pot enjoyed by the five of us. Then I went to The Wild Hare to celebrate my friend Jenni’s birthday. She lived on my floor in 1993 & is a high school friend of Julie. It was so fun catching up! 

the baptism of sweet Luella Joy

Vance & Kaitie’s beautiful daughter was baptized this morning. Jenna and Cody are sponsors. Grandma B was there to witness as were Grandpa Kurt and cousins Collins & Hayes. 

hello Bud & Betty!

Today we headed up north to drop off our Snow Dog and to have lunch with Bud & Betty/take a peek at their kitchen renovation. Anders is home for his spring break so it was pretty nice to be a whole family! 

Renovations looking good, Bud & Betty are looking great at Brent & Molly’s cabin. We also went to the Pink Squirrel occasional shop and picked up another chair/ottoman and living room coffee table. Anders room/hang out room is now complete. 

When we got home, Anders went to hang out with college friends in Minnetonka and Katie went to hang out with friends in New Richmond. I’m working on grades and will soon to heading to bed. 

 

happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We’ve had some good progress on the flip. A major donation of unused stuff was taken to Goodwill last night along with some deep cleaning had been accomplished. Beds are switched and now we’re going shopping for a couple nice chairs for the downstairs living/room, this is fun! 

farewell Minneapolis!

Bidding Minneapolis farewell this morning. Played some ping pong and Jenga and also walked for some coffee. 

We got home before the snow started and started a big project of flipping anders and Osten’s rooms. We put the trundle bed in Anders’ downstairs room so we could make it into a room where Katie and Osten can entertain friends/hangout when Anders isn’t home. 

March Madness has started and our family all made picks for the bracket. It’s been fun tracking our picks. 

another busy day

Slept in and then headed to the fitness center to jog 4 miles. Then showered and headed to Cafe Astoria for breakfast. Had a yummy smoothie bowl and bee sting coffee drink. Next onto Cosettas to pick up pizza to take to Nate’s place where we got to see Wade and Diana and have lunch together. 

Next was Mall of America where Katie and I shopped and Brad and Osten went to Creed III. 

Now we’re eating leftovers in our hotel room and then we’ll head to Target Center to see the Timberwolves game. 

Just back from the nail biter game. We lost 102-104, but it was a tremendous game. My friend John’s daughter was there with her girls out troop and my cousin Tammy’s daughter Emily was also at the game. The power of posting where you are…
