It’s so fun watching beautiful young people attending prom. These are my friends’ daughters, Sarah’s daughter Aeva and Michelle’s daughter Brynn. Also my friend Lynn’s son, James. 

Hanging out in the couch and trying to beat this crud of a cold/respiratory infection. My first day in a long time that O won’t get my steps…oh well!

Feeling crummy but we had a long anticipated field trip planned for Friday so I made it work. The fresh air and programming was wonderful!

 I’m really good at updating our blog but the past two days have been a challenge. Bad cold and now heading into fever. Ick!

But what was a bright spot is a dog share yesterday!

Brad, Osten and I drove to Eau Claire after school today to have dinner with Anders at Toppers Pizza. So nice to hang out together.

Osten and his friend Austin have been doing a great job as safety patrol this year in the bus corral. I got them in action the other day.

Brad has gotten his turkey this year! So very excited for him🦃

I gobbled dinner at Bunco tonight. 12 friends over and lots of good conversation. We had potato, sausage & ham soup, chili, salad, charcuterie, pudding pie and coffee, lemonade and water. 

The guests loved the prizes. So nice to host! 

football fun!

Spring football is here and Osten is playing on the Seahawks! They scored 4 touchdowns to 3 touchdowns today for their first victory of two games. Osten had some flags, a reception and a run or two. So fun to watch. Osten spent the day with his buddy Coulter playing outside. He’s passed out right now and not interested in watching the Timberwolves playoff game after the disappointing loss a few nights ago. 

Katie and I met Julie in Stillwater for a little walk and shop. Then I went shopping for food for my Bunco party hosting tomorrow night. I’ll make a potato and sausage soup and chili. Also making a charcuterie board and salad. Water and lemonade to drink. Should be a fun evening! 

Julie got a brand new Jeep. My dream car. So fun to ride in it!

It’s earth day today! Started the day right with Petra and Hagrid for our weekly walk.

So nice to see the sun shining today. I’m heading to DQ soon to get some icecream to celebrate the sunshine.

My third graders have been enjoying studying and researching the states of the US. On Wednesday, we invited parents in to see their work. It was pretty magical and so fun to watch the kids present.

 Yesterday was a bummer morning with snow again…

This morning was much much nicer with a full day of sunshine and a really nice run to start the day. So exciting to see a peek of spring today. 

we love Easter!

We were lucky to worship at Faith Lutheran in Grantsburg for our Easter morning. Anders was in River Falls worshiping with the Andrea family at St. Bridget’s.

Jenna and her family were at their church in Sartell and Stuart’s family was in North Carolina. Siri and family were in North Mankato. 

The Easter bunny visited and we colored eggs and made cut out cookies. Brad and snuck in a little morning coffee on Bud & Betty’s deck before having a wonderful ham dinner. 

He is risen indeed!

memorable meeting

We’re spending time in Grantsburg for Easter. Today uncle Mike tipped us off that Big 10 Linebacker of the Year, Leo Chenel, was coming to the Grantsburg High School to shoot hoops. Mike bought Osten a Badgers cap and Osten was able to chat with Leo and ask for an autograph. Leo asked if Osten wanted to shoot hoops with him. It was very sweet.

Leo is heading to the NFL draft in a few weeks. I wish him all the best in his career. He’ll be fun to watch.

Osten stayed up late last night to watch the Timberwolves beat the Clippers 109-104. Now they are headed to play 2nd seed Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

At Erica and Adam’s wedding they are planning on having vintage wedding photos displayed of the grandparents. I’m working on getting these sweet photos printed for the wedding reception: 

I got a chance to run inside on the treadmill this evening. It was 3 1/2 miles and I did it in 39 minutes. Whew!
