and the world is white!

Yesterday afternoon, the rain turned to snow here in River Falls. Katie and I went for a long walk (almost 2 hours) to enjoy the beautiful day.

Today we woke and the sun is shining, the world is glistening. Beautiful and fresh.

I do hope we have the ability to see the fresh open, green fields again very soon. We are heading up north once again to attack the woods and gather firewood for the 2020-2021 heating season. We are leaving Anders home because he has the duty of working drive thru at DQ.

Update:
We had a great day...had lunch at the Grantsburg Drive Inn, to go of course. Then went to the lake to pick the tractor to take up to the hunting shack. Got to say hi to Bud and Betty at a safe distance. The kids discovered the 4 wheeler and both Katie and Osten learned how to ride around.

Then I picked up sticks and looked at the beautiful scene of Wood Lake and we headed back up north with the tractor on the trailer. Got the tractor off the trailer, settled in for the day, set up the hammocks and cooked some pizzas from the dairy, went for a walk and watched a little Secret Life of Pets 2. Then it was off to dreamland.
