our Christmas part IV

The final Christmas celebration of 2022 happened today on the prairies of Southern, Minnesota. After basketball Saturday, we loaded up Katie’s van and drove to rural St. James to attend a diaper keg for Vance and Kaitie’s soon to be born baby. It was held in Vance’s shop and we drank Busch Lites and played bags where my brother Cory and I defeated Anders and Katie in two games of bags. I guessed baby girl would be born on January 18.

Then we drove to spend the night at Kyle & Kim’s, watched some home movies and slept well in their cozy farm house.

Sunday morning featured Kyle’s Idaho sourdough pancakes and great conversation with Adam, Erica, Liana, Ryan, Summer, Kyle, Kim, Brad, Anders, Katie, Osten and I. A game of Wii golf entertained and then Katie and I headed to St James to pick up Mom to go to Kurt’s for Christmas celebrating.

We had oyster stew, beef sandwiches and lots of good food. So fun to see all my brothers and most families. Jenna, Stuart and Anna weren’t there but in addition to those at Kyle and Kim’s, Kent, Eden and Abby were there. So was Grandma B, Cory, Joan, Thomas, Evan, Trenton, Kurt, Vance & Kaitie.

Then can gift opening where I brought home a $50 Olive Garden gift card, Katie pickle ball paddles, Anders a fuzzy blanket. Brad a  $50 Panera gift card, Osten the mask and a popcorn popper. I’m so happy we were able to celebrate and am blessed to have such an incredible family. We also celebrated another Viking victory. We also saw the SDSU Jackrabbits defeat the NDSU Bison (Joe scored a touchdown). With four former Jackrabbit Blomgren’s, it was the right winner!
