What an absolutely perfect day! It’s raining now, but it was so great until 7:30! 

the Timberwolves swept the Suns

Foe  the first time in Katie and Osten’s lifetime, the Timberwolves moves on to the next level of NBA playoff action. They beat the Suns last night and Osten and I DANCED!

Osten’s football team won and today I received  some really nice photos of Osten in action yesterday.. thanks Molly for sharing! 

baby shower

Showering Summer and Ryan with baby love today. I picked mom up from Good Sam and we headed to Summer’s baby shower at The Heritage Village in Mountain Lake. We had a nice lunch of shredded chicken sandwiches, veggies, fruit and salad. They received a lot of nice gifts and I got a chance to meet Vander for the first time. 

Then I took mom back to Good Sam where the prom kids came to do a little parade. Mom clapped while they paraded. It was quite sweet. Jenna, Cody, Collins, Hayes and Kurt also stopped in which was quite a treat. 

After that I met Kyle’s family at the Botanist in Mountain Lake—had a great craft cocktail. Then we strolled over to the antique shop with Liana, Adam and Erica. 

Now I’m home and learned about Osten’s 2nd football win of the season. Full day and so much fun being with family.

Started the day with my weekly Petra walk and ended the day at Bunco with Marci, Moni, Beth, Lisa, Nikki, Lindsey, Tessa, Sarah, Amanda, Rachel, Malinda, and myself. I won some reusable shopping bags, pins, stickers, wooden spoons. So very cool!

Now the Timberwolves are playing the Suns…hope they can take game 3! 

track meet #1 for Osten

A picture perfect day for an inaugural track meet for Osten! He did long jump and the mile run. Long jump 9’ 6” and mile run at 6:12. He looked like he was having a ton of fun which is the very best part. Go Osten!

preparing for baby

Summer and Ryan Blomgren are preparing for the arrival of their sweet firstborn baby in May. Here is a photo of their nursery with cradle made by my Dad, grandpa B! 

game 2 at Target Center

Katie, Osten and I traveled to Target Center this evening to see the Timberwolves face the Phoenix Suns in game 2 of the NBA western conference playoffs. It was pure magic! From entry with a deluge of people, to finding fresh T-shirts and towels at our seats, to cheering our favorite team on to victory. 

My friend Molly leant me her Jaden McDaniels shirt and he had a career leading night with 25 points and on point defense. We held NBA legend Kevin Durant and phenom Devin Booker to less than 100 points with a score of 105-93. The Wolves lead the series 2-0. Now they head to Phoenix for more games. 

Today was a fun day at school and home. Our class has been communicating with a class grandparent who drives a semi truck named trucker Bob. He stopped by with his rig today and everyone was able to hop in and pose for a photo. I got to too! 

Then I got home and made a meal from things I found cleaning out the cupboard! 

a little rearranging

This morning I was cleaning our kitchen and decided to move some things around and perform a good scrubbing of cupboards/getting rid of things we don’t use. I found several meals on the shelves and will get to cooking tomorrow. Here’s what it looks like now:

the Eagles and Timberwolves had great opening days

This morning Osten’s Carbonite team won their first game of the season 60-6. Osten caught a nice pass and was downed right at the goal. They are called the Eagles. 

The Timberwolves opened post season play beating the Phoenix Suns 120-95 at home. It’s best of 7 so we need to keep up the intensity.
