celebrating freedoms with a 5K

Started the day with a rousing 5K—my 7th annual Freedom 5K. Osten ran in Katie’s place and got 3rd place in his age group and 38th overall with a time of 28:38. Joe got 1st in his age group and 7th overall with a time of 19:15. Isaiah got 2nd in his age group and 9th overall with a time of 19:40. I got 6th in my age group and 60th overall with a time of 31:47. Micah got 5th in his age group and 79th overall with a time of 34:51. Nate got 14th in his age group and 80th overall with a time of 34:00. Ibby got 19th in her age group and 117th overall with a time of 42:20. 

Spectators were Bruce, Julie, Mike, Brad and Katie. We felt the love. As we were

Driving home from the race, the heavens opened and rained down on us. 

When we got back to the lake, we went on the lake and had fun boating and watching the boat parade.
