great start to Homecoming & Ladies Night

Osten’s 9th grade football team beat Hudson 13-6. Great way to kick off homecoming. Then I hung out with friends at River Falls Ladies Night Out. We had a blast!

On my walk to workout tonight…

autumn is here and I’m still going to call him Larry

My goal is to have breakfast on our porch each day this school year and this morning I noticed how much darker it is at 6:30! 

Also, our class named our canary and his name is Tweety, but I’m going to still call him Larry.

Last weekend, Osten volunteered at the River Falls Food Pantry stocking shelves for service Sunday. Thanks Osten. I planted our herb garden and the Vikings beat the Bengals 48-10. 

new glasses, apple picking day and date night

I picked up my new glasses from Shopko Optical today and Brad and I picked soooo many apples from the tree we planted back when Anders & Katie were wee ones in May 2009. I’m going to have to research some things I can do with the plenty! 

Lastly, Brad and I went to the Downtown Abbey movie together for date night. It was so nice to hang out together

series of unfortunate events

This evening at big Os football game, first the quarterback went down with and ACL tear and then a minute later, a player was tackled in the end zone and it kind of looked like there was a spinal cord injury. Thankfully he just had a severe concussion. Then when we got home, a fire truck and ambulance pulled up to the apartment across the street. Hopefully all will be well the rest of the night!

A sweet canary has taken residence in our classroom. Teri, my incredible assistant, gifted the canary and his beautiful sanctuary to our classroom. The children are enchanted. 

perfect square day

Number nerd Karen geeked out yesterday! 9-16-25 each number has a square root that is a whole number . What’s even cooler is that 9-16-2025 is also a perfect square with 45 being the square root of 2025. 

lovely all day

The day started beautiful and continued to be beautiful. I walked to school, had a nice day and then had dinner with my boys and to Stillwater for a walk with my sweet Julie. It was a fabulously lovely day.

Nice warm day for laundry, painting the back side of the house, moving some things to the dump & some work for school. Our zinnias are still popping big time!

Half a game…Osten wasn’t able to finish his 9th grade game in Chippewa Falls because of a thunderstorm so they lost with just half a game—14-0. 

We had dinner at a pho restaurant and it was pretty yummy!
