up north for 80th

We’re celebrating Betty’s 80th birthday this weekend . Brent made yummy wings and we had angel food cake and strawberries.

I was able to see the best live music act with my amazing husband at the MN State Fair. We also sampled Big Fat Bacon and Peachey’s donuts. So yummy! 

Osten had a football game earlier in the day and he played cornerback. The Wildcats won 20-16.

RFPME open house & happy 80th birthday Betty

Now it was my turn to meet and greet the class of 25-26. The room looked great, Teri, my amazing assistant was there to help at every turn and we welcomed 24 of 25 learners into the classroom. 

Tragedy struck the local area with a school shooting today. Parents were extra loving of their kids as a result. 

Also big shout out to a new 80 year old. Happy birthday Betty!

Osten and I headed to 9th grade open house. We walked his schedule, met his teachers and ran into his buddy Coulter. Then we went out to McDonalds for

dinner and finished lesson 27 of his drivers ed. 

I went back to school to do some more preparing for my back to school night tomorrow afternoon. 

kicking off the 25-26 school year

 

My teacher workshop started and Katie’s first day of sophomore year started on Monday! It’s been so busy, I haven’t had a chance to update.

90!

Today the Blomgren family gathered to celebrate our matriarch, Vivian Grace, as she will be turning 90 on Labor Day. 

Kyle and Kim hosted a pulled pork potluck. A game of whiffle ball was played. Birthday song was sung and Mom even was able to fly a kite with the assistance of Vance. So rewarding to see our nieces and nephews being amazing parents to their growing families. 36 people were there to wish Mom a happy 90th birthday 🎂 

impromptu

Today I went on an impromptu hike with my dear friend, Julie to Willow River. Then we shopped and I found a nice pair of bar stools for Katie’s apartment and a bedside lamp for her bedroom. 

Home to make brownies, taco salad for Moms birthday party tomorrow, ice cream for my boys and dinner for Brad, Osten and I.
