day 5 Fort Walton Beach and journey to Destin

It was forecasted to rain most of the day today so we decided to engaged in some indoor activities. First was the air force armament museum here in Fort Walton Beach. It was interesting and educational.

On our way to the next stop, we got a donut and coffee for mid morning snack. Yum. Next, we drove to the aquarium to discover most of the exhibit was outside. We left and drive to Destin to watch a movie. On our way, we decided to do lunch at a hibachi grill. Osten and Katie had never had the experience and our chef was delightful. He made an onion volcano and flipped eggs expertly. We loved every minute.

We got to Destin and realized the movies were sold out. Everyone else had the same idea! So we shopped at a mall for about an hour and a half. Back to the condo where Katie and I went for a walk and did a little more shopping.

Then we went to a local theater that served dinner while we watched  The Batman. We enjoyed the movie and when we got back to the condo, Katie and I went out to look at the Gulf to hear the amazing surf…I would say it’s a double red flag day…yikes it’s big.

I did my grades and now it’s about time for bed.
