While we were dining on A's choice of tacos for his birthday
dinner last night on our porch, our family decided to head down to the
Kinnickinnic and get a little hiking in. 8 years ago, on his 4th
birthday, our family made the same journey, but that was with our family of 3.
With our family of five, we biked to Glen Park, went down the trail and enjoyed
the beauty of the water, wildlife and new and decaying vegetation. The
youngest member of our family kept up with no problems. He was a little
hesitant to navigate some of the downed trees, but it was nice to see that he
has some reservations in his walking.
