my 2008 Amanda lilies are blooming!

 

Back in 2007 I met a lovely student named Amanda Kunde when I worked in the CAFES deans office  That spring 2008, she gifted me with a lovely orange Lily as thanks for being her supervisor as she had a work study job. In spring 2009, she gave me another, this time maroon. My friend and co-worker Lisa recommended that I plant the bulbs and now 15 years later, I’m still enjoying the beautiful gesture of gratitude. 

It’s n addition to noticing the lily blossoms today, I brought a donation of cabin items to Goodwill in Hudson. The temperature was hot and several others had the exact same idea of bringing their donations. Felt good to get that task accomplished!
