kale chips

Our amazing Brad has been steering our family towards a zero waste lifestyle.  Purchasing food items that aren't packaged/overly processed.  It can be a challenge, but there are some foods that we are starting to introduce into our diet that we had not previously eaten.

One of them is a tastation called Kale Chips.  He prepared the kale by washing, tossing in a little extra virgin olive oil and a touch of of salt.  He then baked them at 300 for 30 minutes.

As I was watching the last episode of season 1 of Downton Abby last night, a lovely aroma wafted throughout the house.  Shortly after that, Brad brought me a taste of the freshly baked kale chips--DDDDDDDlicious!

On first trial, our kids didn't agree with my assessment, but they will get a chance to revisit in the future.
