reflecting on our trip

Now that we’ve been home 24 hours, Brad, Osten and I have had an opportunity to reflect on our DC adventure.

Top Billing:

Brad
Meal: Maketto
Place/monument:capitol tour and dome

Museum: Native American

Baseball game: Baltimore Orioles

Osten/Jolly/King/Big O

Meal: Ethiopic

Place or monument: Jefferson Memorial

Museum: American History
Event: Camden Yards and Nationals games—both home teams won

Karen:
Meal Ethiopic

Place/monument: capitol tours and west wing of White House

Museums: Natural History & Holocaust

Baseball game: Camden Yards with Crab 🦀 Mac and cheese hotdog
This trip…may be pinnacle of trips for me. I missed Anders and Katie—wish they could have joined us, but the magic of spending time with Ian and Shannon, splitting time between their place and an Air B&B just blocks from their house, food, basketball watching, Ian television appearance watching, bike/scooter riding, baseball games, Metro riding, monuments, history, flights, Shannon’s arrangements and itinerary… it was perfection.
