of Monsters and Men

Fun evening with Sarah, Kim and Julie going to the palace theater in St. Paul for a performance by first Arny Margaret and then by Of Monsters and Men. Both are Icelandic performers/band members. Great musicality including an instrument I’ve never seen…a keyboard with a tube that the lead singer blew into. 

Arny mesmerized me with her innocent charm and beauty. She reminded me of 11 from Stranger Things. I looked her up and she was born the day after my heart, Anders Cole. She was born on May 7, 2001. I was so charmed that I purchased a concert t shirt. 

Of Monsters and Men put in a dynamic with 7 members. I had watched a documentary earlier in the day so felt like I was meeting celebrities. The lead female singer has an ethereal haunting voice…I loved every minute. The drummer was featured stage right. Percussion is my absolute favorite so it was a true joy.
