We loaded the sled with the recliner and some things to take back (laundry) and a I pulled it across the back to our cabin with my snowshoes on. Brad had to do some shoveling so we could enter the cabin, but it looked great!
We got the recliner situated and pulled out a couple of other chairs to make more room in the living room. Brad took measurements of the deck because he has plans for it and I put other stuff away and swept. Then I went for a hike across the ice to a little campsite I like to hike to in the open water months. Saw some cool snow formations on the ice.
Back to the cabin. We hauled out the two extra chairs and some laundry and Brad pulled it back across the lake. We loaded the truck and were off to Ely to stay at the Canoe on Inn. Very charming, clean and minimal motel with door keys and a comfortable, warm bed.
Went to Ojibwe Star Wars…the original Star Wars movie voice over in Native American language. It was amazing watching a favorite childhood movie with my husband and hearing it in another language. It was subtitled in English so we could follow the language. Dinner was movie popcorn and nachos.
Bedtime falling asleep to HGTV. Wonderful day for certain.
