day with Mom

On Monday night, our dear Mom had a big scare with a malfunctioning blood sugar reader. Her numbers were indicating low blood sugar, so the nursing home was feeding her sugar. They did a needle prick and she was high. So off to the hospital for a blood draw and her numbers were 1242! Off to Mankato to ICU. 

Today I got a sub and spent the day with her. Lovely conversations where she called me Karen, Vivian and Jenna. She called Kurt and Kyle Daddy B (her name for our Dad) and Liana was called Karen. I also got to have lunch and dinner with my favorite daughter! It was a lovely day. 

The drive home stunk with nasty icy rain. It took me 3 hours and I had to stop 7 times to clean my windshield. So happy to be home safely.
