movie night!
Brad, Osten and I went to the Falls Theater to see Deadpool and Wolverine. It was entertaining for me. Brad said it was the worst movie ever. I laughed out loud a few times and enjoyed the Madonna music.

for sale
We’re downsizing our boat fleet and put our boat and motor up for sale. We’ve gotten a lot of interest on marketplace. I also spent some time getting my classroom set up for the new school year! It was a great day!

bagel, tea and yogurt parfait grad party
Went to a fabulous grad party for a super sweet grad. Mimi’s grandmother used to volunteer in my classroom until she died from Covid very early in the pandemic. There were touches of grandma Barb throughout the party.

infusion day for Grandma B
Today I drove down to Mountain Lake to pick up Mom for her Calcium infusion to treat her osteoporosis. Lovely drive and time together. We went to Walmart for a little shopping and then headed back to Good Sam so Mom could get her insulin and evening meal.
I drove to the local Asian grocery to get an egg roll and fried rice. I ate it at the local city park. Then I went back to visit Mom and say good night.
Next was a walk around Butterfield Lake in the hazy sunshine. Then I went to the cemetery with Kurt as he watered the flowers. Now we’re back at the farm watching the twins. Pretty great day!

Today after church, I finished packing up my classroom cupboards for my move to first floor. Soon I’ll be ready to move into my new space!

laid back
Today the Olsons are taking it easy…last night Anders came home to prepare for a camping trip with buddies. Katie, Brad, Osten and I went to the new movie Twisters. This morning I made egg bites for lunch…yum! Then wrote postcards to my students. I just returned from a bike ride to see a spectacular sunflower field west of town.
Preheat oven to 325 and start a pot of water on stove to boil
8 eggs
1 cup full fat cottage cheese (3/4 in batter, 1/4 topping)
1 cup guyerre cheese
1/2 cup Colby Jack
1/2 tsp hot sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 slices precooked bacon diced
Put eggs 3/4 cup guyerre, Colby Jack, hot sauce, salt and pepper in blender. Blend on medium 30 seconds.
Put into silicone muffin pan that is on a jelly roll pan. Put boiling water in jelly roll pan (not on eggs). Top each bite with bacon and remaining cheese.
Bake at 325 for 30 minutes. Let bites rest 5 minutes after removing from the oven.

Watonwan County pig show…
This is a copy from my dear brother Kurt: Special recognition and coincidence today. My 6 year old granddaughter Kesleigh showed a pig for the first time as a Cloverbud at the Watonwan County Fair with the help of her parents, Stuart and Kyeanna. She did an awesome job! The coincidence is, is that it is 10 years to the day that her uncle Ross showed and earned champion breeding gilt.

back to RF
As lovely as it is to travel and see new places, there is no place like home! We got to see Katie and will be sleeping in our own beds tonight. Brad is already there after a marathon several days of driving.
