northern leg of spring break 24

Here we are, cozied up in the living room of the cabin. 1. Saw a beautiful sunrise at the Lodge

2. Walked to the landing with Osten to find Brad returning from the cabin on the snow dog.

3. Packed up gear and got water for our time at the cabin

4. I walked and Osten and Brad drove the snowdog to the cabin. 

5. Indian food for lunch.

6. Hauled about a half cord of wood from shoreline to Brads cutting area in an assembly line fashion

7. Hiked to cabin 1 & 6 to check out their views 

8. Set up star-link, our Alexa and a new refrigerator 

9. Hiked to Flash Lake, and on the Flash/Snowbank portage trail 

10. Dinner of Mac and cheese and bbq chicken sandwiches

11. Brad made yummy stove popcorn 

12. Watched the Iowa State Cyclones beat the SDSU Jackrabbits. 

13. Soon to shut down for the night and sleep hard from all the fresh air and activity.
