It's a crisp start to the New Year! The high for today is estimated at -2 degrees Fahrenheit. I made it to midnight and went to pick up Isaiah and Katie from their movie shortly after midnight. Evidently, Isaiah had fallen asleep and was so soundly asleep that he missed the moment of the New Year. Katie had just been roused from a little nap.
Brad has been up for a few hours already, has taken Luis for a walk, started a cozy fire and ready for a productive Saturday. I plan on lesson planning, doing some regular cleaning tasks, doing something fun with Osten and Katie and just looking forward to an amazing 2022.
We lit Brad’s grandparents’ oil lamp tonight as we watched Encanto and Nomadland
