Sunday started much like Saturday--we had a thunderstorm over night but this time our tents weren't quite as wet. The skies had looked so clear so we had left quite a few items outside including a book that I had brought to read. Fortunately everything dried quite nicely and even the wet book was dry enough to read. I finished one book during our time up north and nearly finished a second. The finished book was called All That Matters by Stef Ann Holm and the second is called Summer of the Wolves by Polly Carlson-Voiles (set in area near BWCA). They were both found at our local Little Free Library. I don't think I'll read any more books by either author, but they were good reads for free.
Our day consisted of having breakfast and then setting out to find a good swimming beach. Every morning, Brad took the canoe out into the middle of the lake and filtered water for us to drink. He spied a beautiful campground with a sandy beach so we all packed up and paddled...to discover the campground was found by another group. So we went to another site that was unoccupied and explored/swam. I found the most majestic view...without my phone so no views, but Brad and I agreed if we ever return to Sea Gull Lake, we should try out that campsite (one of two campgrounds on an island near our campsite).
Back to our site for lunch. Then Katie and I went out for an exploration...I ended up falling out of the canoe as I was trying to get on land, but Katie was very gracious and helpful. We stayed on the island for a little while and then Katie decided to anchor our boat back to our campsite as I was a little leary to go back to the same spot where I fell.
We were introduced to a card game that Lindsey brought called Slapzi (very fun) and enjoyed a nice campfire before bedtime. We brought EVERYTHING that could get wet into our tents and enjoyed a night we NO RAIN!
A beautiful loon!

A very very happy birthday to the lovely Stella Hauser who turned 9 on Sunday. You are an amazing bright ray of sunshine.
Beckham Isaac Blomgren was baptized at the church his parents were married and his sister was also baptized. His Daddy was not able to be there but did attend the service virtually.
