We went to a terrific movie last night called Inside Out...we drove there in Brent's Prius that he has leant us for the week--we drove because it was too hot and humid to walk or ride bike. That was a key indicator of the torrential downpour we were to receive in the early morning hours of the 6th.
We had an impressive lightening storm and then CRASH! a bolt of lightening hit and a huge pop occurred and our lights were OUT. O and K woke up, but A slumbered on. In the morning, I awoke and found a little standing water in our basement and tripped GFCI outlets throughout the house. All outlets are back up and running and thank goodness for Brad, fans, mops, wet dry vacs, a few damp area rungs and dehumidifiers!
