piggies and lunch at the Watershed Cafe

Before the big 4th of July weekend and before the double wedding weekend, it was time to get the piggies pretty. Julie, Katie and I went and got our feet groomed. 

Then Katie and I met Siri and Molly up north so Siri could spend the weekend with working Katie in River Falls. We dined at a lovely little restaurant called the Watershed Cafe in Osceola.

happy Independence Day

What a lovely day to celebrate our Declaration of Independence! Started with a 5K run called the freedom 5K. My official time was 34:14 with a pace of 11:01. I wanted to beat 35 minutes and I did it.

Then back to the lake for a nice walk and just hanging out at the lake. Dinner of southern bbq pork sandwiches were great and now we’re watching fireworks. The whole family is here and Lindsey also joined.

The raspberries & lettuce are going gang busters. The tomatoes were just planted. The flowers are looking more healthy with the cooler temps and some sprinkler water. The radishes have big plants but tiny radishes. The peas and asparagus are done for the season. I love summer in the upper Midwest! 

starting off with a bang

July is starting off with a bang! Started the month with my third three miler in as many days. The sunrise was pretty gorgeous. Then took Osten and his buddy Wil to Glen park pool. This evening I met up with college friends Trish, Steph, Julie and Eric at Marx in Stillwater. The desserts were beautiful!
