Warmups at 9am and two swims. Katie’s first swim was prelims for the 100 breast. She was in the 5th heat and placed second in her heat. She looked amazing and took 1 second off her time. She placed 40th of 74 swimmers.
Then we hung out in the city for several hours…lunch, coffee, shopping, dinner. Then back to Jean Freeman Aquatic Center on U of M campus to see Katie and her friends swim the 200 freestyle relay.

Tonight, these four ladies represented River Falls Swim Club in the 200m freestyle relay at the Minnesota Senior State Championship. Together, they dropped 10.03 seconds in the event, which was a 7.7% decrease from their seed time. In the photo, from left to right, is Elizabeth Hansen, Faith Kalsow, Kathryn Olson, and Sydney Rippie. Outstanding performance tonight!
