3-2 heartbreaker

The MN Twins had an amazing season. They finished first in the American League Central. They beat the Blue Jays to advance to the second round of the American League Division Championship series.

They lost game 1 of the ALDS, won game 2, lost games 3 & 4 at Target Field to the Houston Astros. 

What a ride! Thanks for a great season.

Osten’s 7th grade football team is playing St. Croix Central in Hammond tonight. The heavyweight team won 14-6 and now Osten’s lightweight team is up 8-0 in the 2nd quarter. 

He plays defensive tackle this evening. 

Now we’re up 14-0. 

The Twins are playing and are down 6-1 game three of the ALCS.

I have such a great principal who lead us on professional development hike to the falls of Willow River.. What a great day! 

full of potential

Today is a day ripe with potential. I got to sleep in, now I’ll get up to make lists of cleaning and task completion. Then I’ll get ready for church and attend. Home to make a meal and to check off my list! 

One thing I did after homecoming yesterday is to change our bed clothes into winter mode…slept like a baby! 

Update…made it through a productive day. The Vikings lost, but the Twins are currently leading the Astros 6-0 in the bottom of the 7th. When they win, the series will be tied 1-1 in a best of 5 series. 

I cleaned the house and purchased a couple new items to replace some worn out items. New kitchen rugs, new cozy blankets for the living room furniture, new kitchen garbage can, new dish pan and freshly scrubbed floors and bathroom. It was a productive day!

Yesterday Osten and I traveled to Eau Claire to have lunch, hang out with Ally and to attend the Blugold homecoming game to see Anders perform. 

So cold, but we got to see a great field show!

Today was adventure day. Dentist in the morning, drive down to Southern Minnesota to see Minneopa State Park and the sad state of the waterfall that in my memory was a rushing masterpiece and onto the gold at the end of the rainbow…visiting my Mom at her place. 

We had coffee with her friends and then went shopping at the dollar store. Back to her place and then to dinner at the Hometown and got to meet up with my brother Kurt. Now we’re hanging out her apartment before I had home. 

What a delight to spend time with my Mom and enjoy one another’s’ company.

Even though Katie hasn’t swam yet this season with her bum ankle, we hosted 12 at the office for a pasta dinner. So nice to see the girls and host a gathering. I hope she’ll get at least one meet in before the season ends.

The MN Twins won…first time in 19 years we won in post season play according to my friend Missy who went to the game with her Dad and daughter today. They play the Toronto Blue Jays in a best of three series.

Brad is hanging out at the cabin doing projects. One was building a wood rack in the living room. I’m currently loving it.

As we drove through the beautiful scenery of northern Minnesota we heard the Minnesota Vikings win their first game of the season! Back to home and a new week. Sleep tight!
