heading north
Brad and A left for the Minnesota fishing opener on the morning of Friday, May 8. Thankfully, Grandma Betty came to pick up kids and take care of O while I was at school. When I got home, the kids and I went to our favorite Friday eat out spot...Subway eat Fresh.

game changer
14 years ago, my parents rushed to Normal Illinois to meet their 13th grandchild. There he was, ACO! Happy birthday to our handsome and talented, kind and charming first born son!

cinco de Mayo
Yesterday was such a peaceful day in our classroom. It was funny because last week was a bit crazy and I talked to Ibby last night. She said her school was the same way--kind of kukoo last week and really peaceful on the 5th.

may the 4th be with you
This morning, we greeted one another that way in our classroom. It was pretty sweet. Another beautiful day in the neighborhood!
may 2nd
The day was absolutely gorgeous. The two older kids competed in a swim tournament at St. Kate's. They both shaved time off their personal bests...way to go kiddos!
may day
May day was celebrated by our sweet neighbor's Elise, Hannah and Amelia. They dropped by with some sweet little flowers that we now have planted on our front steps.
last day of April
On the last day of April, our school hosted a really fun event for the Lower Elementary. The students at UWRF stopped by and taught with nature books. Super fun and the kids thought it was out of this world!
the 29th
A's due date anniversary. 14 years ago on April 29th, A was due to be born. On that day, Brad and I went for a long walk around Normal, Illinois. We stopped at the natural grocery store and I remember the looks on people's faces as I told them that my due date was TODAY! It was priceless.
the 28th
April 28 was the date of A's first baseball practice of the year! Summer baseball, here we come.
flight
The days are surely flying past! Last Monday was spent catching up on fun stuff in the classroom.
