first place!

Osten’s 8th grade basketball team won first place at the Altoona tournament. Osten played well and scored one basket in the final game. Their games were:

Versus Eau Claire Black 42-18

Versus Holman Silver 38-27

Versus Altoona Red (we won can’t remember score)

His fan base were Brad, Katie, Ally and myself.

The tournament season has begun on a high note. I am thoroughly impressed with these young men, many of whom I have been working with since the 2nd grade. They have made tremendous strides over the past year. Their mental preparation and businesslike demeanor were on full display. The team's professionalism and unity were evident between games, as they sat together in a show of solidarity. It is wonderful to see. They are all playing for each other this season, exhibiting exceptional teamwork. Their passing game is the best I have ever seen. When one player becomes disheartened, another is always there to offer encouragement. Outstanding work today, gentlemen. Your 3-0 record is a testament to your complete dominance from the outset. I eagerly look forward to seeing how far we will progress.

After the game, we went out to celebrate Katie’s 19th and Ally’s 23rd birthdays at a hot pot place.
