warm and wonderful

Is what I feel tonight. A cozy fire, two calendars created and sent to print. A full tummy from steak dinner in an igloo at Juniors with Brad, Katie and Osten. A full Fitbit from hike to Mound Park to see the waning sunlight over River Falls. A full heart from hugs, cards, gifts and well wishes from friends, family and my Momma and Anders. 

Now it’s time for bed and a new day tomorrow…

happy birthday to Jenna and I

We’re back home from a fun weekend with the Blomgren’s. The cousins went out last night after the older people went to bed. Anders had a great time being 21 in Mankato. He didn’t get too crazy though which is comforting. 

This morning we had breakfast, said farewell to Jenna and her family, did a little shopping and then to Pizza Ranch for lunch. The whole group sang happy birthday first to Jenna and then to me. Anders made me a yummy ice cream cup with his specialized Dairy Queen skills. 

We just got home and the tree now has lights and it’s time to plan for the week. 

family Saturday

We’re in Mankato with the Blomgren clan. There are 10 rooms of Blomgren’s. Katie and I are with Grandma.  Kent, Eden and Abby in another. Third room Kurt. Fourth room Jenna, Cody, Stella, Collins & Hayes, Fifth room Kyle, Kim & Liana. Sixth room Adam, Erica, Ryan & Summer. Seventh room Vance and Kaitie.Eighth room Cory and Joan. Ninth room Evan, Thomas and Trenton and Tenth room Brad, Anders and Osten. 

We had dinner together tonight, the kids went swimming and now we’re winding down. Anders and the older cousins went out to explore Mankato. 

black Friday

This morning, Ibby, Dehlia, Katie and I left Grantsburg shortly after 4am and arrived in Roseville at 5:30am at Kohls. We had a great time, shopping at several stores and choosing some cool gifts. 

Back to River Falls at 7:30pm. Anders spent the day shopping with college friends at the Mall of America. Brad was hunting up north. 

When we got home, I did a little more Christmas decorating. Tomorrow, we will head to Mankato for the Blomgren Thanksgiving gathering.

We were blessed to spend Thanksgiving Day with our 3 kids in Grantsburg at brother in law Mike’s Mom's house. Delicious food and beautiful day. Ibby, Dehlia and I walked down to the river to get some exercise.

t shirt new life!

I got a Twosday shirt and tutu for 2-22-22. Today was our future career day so I decided to be a ballerina. Just saying the date was pretty perfect too… 

Tuesday, 11-22-22 and the 55th day of school. II is 2 in Roman numerals so I got a little more mileage from my t shirt… 

oh what a night

Our dear Katie Grace had her swim banquet. She was recognized for her achievements of 2nd team all conference in the 200IM and 200 Medley relay and 200 free relay. Her all conference honorable mention in the 100 breast. She got her second Wildcat letter and was also recognized as the hardest worker in her team by her teammates. 

She is SUCH a hard worker. I am so very very proud of her.

I love when sweet memories pop up in my Shutterfly photos. This was in St Croix when Katie’s friend Isa celebrated her 5th birthday in our Kindergarten classroom. Bethany, Katie, Isa, Charlie, Shennel, Gisselle and Caroline 

swimming weekend and long walk around town

The past two days Katie and I have been at John Glen Middle School in North St. Paul for a swim meet. Yesterday she swam three events and today four. They were mixed gender and age races so she got to swim head to head with her friend Mason in several and she beat him in the 100 breast stroke. I got to visit with people and also got to eat out at a Vietnamese restaurant yesterday and a Mexican restaurant today. 

Katie and I went shopping yesterday and picked up some good finds at Aerie and Plato’s closet. 

This afternoon I went to work out at the university and then to the overlook of River Falls. Just missed the sunset, but it was still beautiful.
