19th birthday and Quarantine Prom

19 years ago today, Brad and I became parents. Our son Anders has been a really amazing person to get to know. He lights up a room with his wit and charm. He lights up a stage with his presence and his ability to entertain. He dove his way to Wisconsin State Diving in 2020 and his marching band won first place at Wisconsin State Marching Band with their show "Going for Gold" in 2019.

19 years ago, I don't think we would have predicted that we would be quarantined and that we would be celebrating prom with his girlfriends' parents at their home. It couldn't have been more perfect. Meg worked and made the event magical even down to having a photographer and a beautiful dining/dancing area in their basement. Thanks Dave and Meg for your generous nature and for hosting the best prom I've ever attended with the family whom I love.

Here are some photos:

After school today, I drove to Mankato to pick up one of my all time favorite people! She wanted to stop at Canes to surprise her little bro...
