setting up flags and the River Falls Days parade

This morning as a part of the Wellness Committee in our school district, my friend Abby, the district nurse, Karin, her husband Dave and I put up flags around the city. It's part of a program by the River Falls Optimist Club where people pay to have the Optimist Club put up flags in their yard in the morning and then take them down before sundown. Whomever started this program and organized it all are pretty incredible. We picked up 25 flags and set them up in a section of River Falls in just under an hour. Abby and I will work together this evening to collect them all and return them to a storage shed here in town.

It's a great way to be patriotic and a great fundraiser for the youth of River Falls!

Friday night, we hosted several people over at our house on 2nd street to watch Anders, Katie and many others in the River Falls Days parade...it was a ton of fun!
