Our class has been reading a Magic Tree House mystery book about Leonardo da Vinci. We discovered today was his birthday...he was born in 1452 on April 15. He died on May 2, 1519 so almost exactly 500 years ago since his death. According to the Magic Tree House book, he was born in a small village called Vinci and we were wondering if he got his name from being born in Vinci. Turns out, he was born in a different town.
